About me and my therapy practice
Because I have trained as a psychotherapist as well as a coach for many years, I can work with you in a variety of ways that is best suited to your needs. But whichever way we go, I believe that together we can get your life on track so you can live your life as fully as possible. As a coach I would help you to imagine a greater possibility for yourself and then support you in achieving that possibility.
Whether your difficulties stem from past traumas or whether it's an inability to move forward in life, nothing is too big or too small to move through. My sense is that when we feel overwhelmed, we often cannot see the solutions that are within our grasp and thus we remain stuck. I also firmly believe that many of life’s problems can be alleviated by sharing them with someone who is trained to listen and offer tools and alternative ways of thinking. Becoming more self aware is a powerful road to self-mastery. I believe through our work together you can find your answers.
Aside from listening with an attentive and empathetic ear, some of my favourite tools to pass onto you are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based Meditation and body focus, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I find these three modalities work beautifully together which enable people to overcome a vast array of issues that hold them back.
I am an experienced and certified coach and a Registered Psychotherapist. I trained and worked in Toronto for over 20 years and I recently moved to Torbay, Devon where I work out of a Wellness Clinic in Paignton which will hopefully help you to feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door.
