About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-centered Counsellor with significant experience working in the Mental Health and Housing services which means I work within the Person-centered approach with creative elements that help develop coping strategies to manage mental health.
I believe each individual is unique and holds all the answers to achieving their full potential, but that life's challenges can block us from fully exploring these. Therefore my intention is to journey with you, at your pace, towards your goals. My aim is to provide an empathic, warm, and non-judgemental space for self-development, self-empowerment, and self-awareness.
I am a friendly and warm therapist who aims to create a safe and trusting space for you to feel comfortable in sharing your story and exploring what you want to achieve.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients in organisations and work with a range of psychological and emotional difficulties and trauma, including anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, work stress, relationship issues, concerns around self-esteem, and exploring health diagnoses.
I am committed to non-discriminatory practices and to fostering equality in the therapeutic relationship and maintaining good practices that keep the client at the center of my work, in line with the BACP ethical framework.
I offer online and telephone sessions from a confidential space.
I can also provide face-to-face sessions in a location close to Preston Park station. The rooms are confidential and comfortable.
My first session
The first session is a free 30-minute consultation provided online or via phone. This is an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to counselling, what you would like to achieve, and any questions you may have.
Future sessions can be face-face, online, or by phone and last for 50 minutes.
