About me and my therapy practice
CBT and Rewind therapy
I am offering online sessions only at the moment via Zoom or WhatsApp video. Return Face to Face in June.
I am aware of how daunting the initial steps towards counselling can be. I am aware we have wobbly days, I know we cannot change the PAST, or see into the FUTURE, we can only live in the HERE and NOW.
I believe you are here to create positive change and my aim is to support you to enable you to do that by offer a warm, caring, non-judgemental, safe space whereby confidentiality and privacy are assured. I hold the clients at the heart of my sessions.
I am an experienced, qualified Integrative therapist, blending therapeutic techniques, according to the specific needs of each client.
I respect the individuality of the client, regardless of gender,, race, religion, age, culture or sexuality.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a phone line support counsellor and do voluntary work as I believing in giving back.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly. However, due to the current situation COVID19 clients have requested 30 minutes sessions a reduced rate.
I have worked as a Lead counsellor within Pupil Referral Units and Mainstream Schools for ages 4-18, providing integrative counselling as well as play therapy.
I have a full enhanced DBS registration. I am in regular supervision and am fully insured.
I am currently offering online via phone, or video calls sessions.g. Zoom, FaceTime.
This is to help keep us safe and to ensure you remain supported regardless the severity of the situation. If you would like to talk, please contact me you will find I have a good listening ear.
My first session
In our first session, I will do my best to ensure you feel relaxed and at ease. I will take a few details that help define our working agreement and explain what confidentiality is all about. You will have the opportunity to questions, discuss key issues you would like to address with respect to counselling, and set goals. The first session is a mutual evaluation in which we both decide whether we can work together.
