About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Nick and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Making the choice to seek out counselling can be a hard step in its own right, having to then find a counsellor you feel safe with when going through some of your most difficult moments can be very daunting.
My way of working is typically non-directive, offering you a confidential safe space that is non-judgemental allowing you to work through whatever is troubling you. With the person-centred approach, the counsellor is not considered to be the expert who can “fix” you but rather it is the individual that has the ability to work towards resolving their own issues when given the support of genuine acceptance and empathic understanding which comes from the working relationship between client and counsellor.
I work with adults on a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, grief and loss, work stress, and relationship difficulties and also issues surrounding self-worth and identity which can leave us wondering who we are and what we are doing at any stage of life. Sometimes it can be as vague as knowing something feels wrong but not knowing what or why.
In our first session, which is offered at a lower rate of £20, we have the opportunity to get to know one another and it will give you an idea of what working with me as a counsellor will be like and if it is right for you.
You can contact me by phone on 07780 614271 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to hearing from you.
