About me and my therapy practice

I'm a BACP Accredited counsellor and work with adults, children and young people.

My approach is warm, accepting, safe and grounded. I help clients to reconnect with their innate 'self-knowing' and self-assuredness. If you or your child is currently struggling, it can seem worrying now but having a non-judgmental space to talk can soon help normalise feelings and bring many benefits.

Practice description

My own experience of having cousnelling and research has shown that it can help ease feelings of loneliness, grief, or difficulties when going through challenging relationships or life events. Talking to a trained therapist can also improve self-esteem and self-understanding during these periods of depression, anxiety and stress. Often when things are said out loud in safe spaces a burden is lifted and healing begins. Whatever your needs, I can provide prompt and regular appointments for you to focus on your needs in a safe and empathic way.

I work with a 'holistic' focus and have additional training in Polyvagal Theory as well as Internal Family Systems. I help young people and adults process relationship or family difficulties, adverse childhood experiences, trauma, bereavement and loss, separation and divorce, loneliness, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, over-thinking and OCD. Please get in touch if you think I may be able to help.

My first session

I offer an initial free chat on the phone for you to see if you feel comfortable talking to me and to check if I'm right therapist for your needs. At our first meeting I gather some information to tailor our sessions to your needs and to stay focused on your aims for therapy. I work Thursday and Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings face to face as well as online throughout the week. I look forward to hearing from you and reply to messages promptly.
