About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited counsellor and qualified supervisor and have worked in private practice for over eleven years. I work in a friendly, positive and constructive way. I have significant experience of working with burn out, stress, panic attacks, general anxiety and depression, abuse and issues surrounding self esteem. I am currently doing a lot of work around wellbeing in work and am working with clients from the private sector including Apple, RBS, Bristol port and a number of law firms, as well as charity workers and NHS employees to support them in preventing burnout, improve self care and deal with workplace stress.Practice description
I work in an integrative and person-centred way. I'm trained in CBT, EMDR, transactional analysis and narrative therapy. I'm also trained as a coach. How I work and the theoretical model I bring into each session depends on the needs of each client so it varies between clients. I still believe the most important aspect of the work is to creating the relationship and ensuring relational depth so that a client feels safe and supported and can start to think about change. My first session
