About me and my therapy practice
Life is unpredictable; it can be difficult and messy. We all struggle at times, and this can leave us thinking, feeling or behaving in ways we do not understand, perhaps wanting something to be different or to change but not being able to find a way forward.
I believe we all have within us the power to change, but we can't always see it, we don't always believe it and sometimes we can become stuck. Seeking help is the first step to making change happen.
I strive to offer a warm, welcoming, safe and confidential space away from the pressures of your everyday life, where you are supported to explore what is going on for you, where you can learn more about yourself and what is important to you, and where you can begin to make sense of things. With greater self-awareness and insight you will feel more empowered to make choices and more able to move forward toward living the life you want to live. I can't give you all the answers, as only you know what the answers are for you, but I will come with you on that journey of exploration, supporting you to make decisions for yourself but not by yourself.
Practice description
My Experience
I have worked for various counselling agencies in the London Borough of Havering and Essex, as well as selected schools, providing face-to-face, online and telephone counselling to children, young people and adults and covering a wide variety of issues.
I also have over 5 years of experience as a Samaritans listening volunteer and branch community outreach lead as well as being a Havering Community Health Champion, and part of the Brentwood and Essex Community Tree Network, which allows me to view wellbeing holistically and signpost to other support services where this might be helpful.
My Training
I have a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling.
I am also trained to work with more creative tools and techniques and will bring these into my practice to help clients express themselves where clients wish to work this way.
I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor can feel quite daunting with so many of us to choose from. I offer a free, 20-minute, no-obligation, informal chat which gives me the chance to find out a little more about you and whether I am able to provide the help you are seeking. More importantly, it gives you the chance to learn a little bit more about me/my practice and whether you feel like we are a good fit and could work together.
Should you decide to go ahead, our first session will be a more detailed consultation where I will collect some information about you, your personal history, your current situation, what you hope to get from counselling and how you would like to work. This session can be arranged in-person, online or via telephone depending on your preference.
Prior to this session you will be asked to provide some personal details and you will also be sent a copy of the counselling contract to review. If you have any questions or concerns we will cover these during the session.
We will then set a day and time to meet, and our journey together will begin together.

About me and my therapy practice
In-person and online counselling for adults and young people (aged 16+)
Are you feeling anxious, depressed, stuck, lost, lonely, sad, overwhelmed or simply confused?
Life is unpredictable; it can be difficult and messy, and sometimes things happen to us and our whole world can be turned upside down in a heartbeat. This can leave us struggling; thinking, feeling or behaving in ways we do not understand, perhaps wanting something to be different or to change but not knowing what or how to even start.
