About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered and Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. That means that my training in different approaches has been approved , including:
Inter-Cultural Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Person Centred (PCT) and Couples/Relationship Counselling.
Areas and issues that I work with include:
* Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety (GAD). Panic Attacks
* Work related Stress - Exam or Performance Anxiety
* Depression - Low mood. - Low self-esteem
* Relationship and family issues
As an Inter-Cultural Counsellor I can help people who feel 'different' due to e.g. their culture, sexuality, mixed-heritage etc. I can help you to understand yourself, others and relationships.
I am also an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I adapt the therapy to meet the individual client's needs, goals and issues.
I respect and value all clients, regardless of their nationality, race, gender, sexuality, religion etc. I find people from all walks of life fascinating.
My speciality is cultural identity, difference and Diversity issues. I tend to attract inter-cultural/racial couples who are different.

I am a registered and Accredited member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework to safeguard all clients.
My first session
You will be offered a free 15 minute initial consultation session, where you can briefly tell me about your issue and what you would like to achieve from therapy. That will be followed by a full (paid) consultation session.
You will be able to ask me any questions about the way I work etc. We can then decide whether we feel comfortable working together and if we wish to proceed with therapy. If so, we usually contract to work together for six sessions initially, with the option to review.
