About me and my therapy practice
Due to the current situation with Covid-19, I am only able to offer online and telephone counselling. These sessions are priced at £35 per 50 minutes.
I value individuality, and I help people to value their own individuality too. How we feel may conflict with how we think we’re meant to feel in response to life events. I am able to accompany my clients in their sadness, chaos, depression and confusion, and I help people to give a voice to their true feelings in a space where they won’t be judged for this. This is an empowering process which gives clients the confidence to be their true selves.
Life events can make us feel sad, overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed; and the hectic pace of our lives can leave us little time and space to process what has happened. This, in the long-term, can make us feel worse. I can help you to explore your thoughts and feelings in relation to your current or past situations. This exploration can provide clarity about the root of your feelings, and through this clarity, positive changes can occur.
I have experience of working with clients of all ages, with a wide range of issues which include (but is not limited to) generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, family issues, depression, guilt, grief, identity issues, low self-esteem, and work-related stress. As a person-centred counsellor, I respect and value each person as a unique individual, and I work in a way which is non-directive, allowing the client to take the lead. I provide a safe, trusting counselling relationship, in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. I'm a warm and empathic person, who is committed to making your well-being my primary concern.
My first session
The first session will be an initial assessment. During this session, I will gather information about your current and past life circumstances which have brought you to counselling.
We will explore what your expectations are of counselling, and I will outline how my approach can help you.
