About me and my therapy practice
Anxiety, feeling low and experiencing loss are part of everyday life. However, if you feel your emotional life is out of balance and struggle to bounce back or feeling stuck in old patterns that holds you back, it's a good time to reach out for support. Therapy can help you to re-evaluate and make new sense of your life and relationships not just with others but with yourself too. It can help to heal from trauma and feel able to live a fuller life. The process of therapy offers opportunities to change your internal life to feeling more comfortable, secure and confident and this to translate to being able to form more fulfilling relationships and live more freely.
From the beginning of the therapeutic relationship we focus on establishing trust and a strong sense of safety that enables the explorations of your problems through a deeper understanding of your experiences, thoughts and feelings. My approach is based on increasing self-awareness and developing skills to manage difficult feelings and heal from old wounds.
It can be hard to seek support but it might be still easier than just carry on. The most exciting part of my work is seeing my clients developing a better relationship with themselves, recognising their capabilities to live an easier and freer life as they are able to integrate their feelings and actions, which they didn’t think was possible before.
I work online and see my clients in person on the border of Herne Hill and Brixton in a friendly, comfortable and confidential setting of my home office. I work with individuals on a short or long-term basis.
Sessions last for 50 minutes at an agreed time weekly. My fee is £80 and £120 for couples. I can offer discount depending on individual circumstances.
My first session
Meeting for the first time – in person or online – gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and decide to work together. It important from the beginning that you feel safe and feel that trust can be built between us in order to address your difficulties and vulnerabilities.
It will give you an opportunity to ask questions and understand what your therapy might entail. I will be interested to hear what brought you to therapy and what changes you would like to make.
