About me and my therapy practice
I believe we are all unique and how we encounter life is personal to us. Our experiences shape our core belief systems about ourselves, others and the world and this effects how we think, feel, behave and how we act within our relationships.
As an integrative psychotherapist I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches. This means I have a wide range of knowledge, skills and techniques which I can use, enabling me to tailor the sessions to suit the specific needs and requirements of each individual client.
Whatever reason you are seeking therapy, I am here to listen to you and support you in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Together we will develop a shared awareness about what may have precipitated your issues and what may be maintaining them. I am here to apply my knowledge and skills to support and guide you at your own pace. I will help you to explore your own strengths, empowering you to identify therapeutic goals for yourself and strategies and techniques of how to achieve them.
My qualifications include:
• BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology at the Open University
• MSc degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University
My journey to become a psychotherapist developed from my own positive experience of therapy during my earlier years and the fundamental impact it had on my life. During my training I had the opportunity to help others from all backgrounds and it has been an invaluable experience. I spent four years volunteering as a Samaritan and a further two years at a private rehabilitation clinic for substance misuse in London and I have had the privilege to support and guide many clients through their own personal journeys, towards self-discovery, personal growth and healing.
