Supervision: 

I have good availability on Friday. Some flexibility for monthly supervision on Tuesday and Thursday's. 

About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you’ve felt stuck for a while, or have been feeling that something isn’t right but can’t quite identify what that is. You may be anxious, depressed, have low self-esteem. Maybe you are struggling in relationships, or finding it difficult getting your needs met? You may have often felt that you don’t belong, or that you’re not supposed to be doing the work you do. I can help.

Perhaps you’d like to feel less frustrated, angry, alone? You may be experiencing grief, or struggling with addiction, you might have low libido, or want to explore your sexuality. It might be a family or historic issue you’d like to make sense of. It might be difficult for you to articulate exactly what's going on and that can feel overwhelming.

Choosing someone who you're comfortable with and can trust is probably of most importance. Clients find me easy to talk to and are relieved to be met by humanness, warmth, and deep empathy: they also relish honesty and realness. I will offer challenge, where appropriate, and gently facilitate deeper self awareness too. We will build a relationship that allows you to express what you have longed to say, but have not had the space to, yet. We'll find solutions that afford lasting change.

The best way to find out if we'll be a good fit, is to have a call or session. To help with your decision, I offer a free telephone consultation; this is usually around 15minutes. Whatever your concern, you will be accepted.  If you are finding it hard to make sense of the world, or your place in it and you'd like to talk through your concerns, do get in touch.

I can help you find ways to be more connected to yourself and others, to be able to express yourself fully. Working with me is completely confidential. I offer a non-judgemental environment to help explore and manage your difficult thoughts, feelings & experiences. I am working online and in person, so get in touch and we can explore how you can be supported. 

Practice description

I trained with the Psychosynthesis Model of Growth, Compassion, Connectedness and Potential. I take a holistic view to psychotherapeutic exploration, and healing. I understand that we are more than the sum of our experiences, difficulties, troubling thoughts and painful emotions. 

I use an integrative approach and work with several psychoanalytic modalities; Psychodynamically to understand and contextualise past experiences, Guided imagery for the Soul, Gestalt for understanding the environment in which your issues occur. I also work with somatically with the body so you can begin to process and accept your feelings. The work is underpinned with object relations and attachment theory and neuroscience research. 

I am actively present in the sessions. I will give opinions, I will tell you if I believe you to be fooling yourself and me, and I will hold your hand and your heart metaphorically and unconditionally, whilst doing so. I believe we walk this path together. I will walk with you with Empathy, Realness, Congruence, Unconditional Positive Regard.  

I tend to work long-term with clients, this means that we can really get into the flesh of your presentation. I do consider shorter term work (12 sessions), if there is something specific you'd like to focus on.

My first session

Our initial meeting is an opportunity to get to know each other a little better and to decide if we'd like to work together.  You will be able to ask questions about the way we might work, or raise any concerns about the process. It is also an opportunity to say a little about what's happening for you, and what brings you to seek help at this time. 

Like all sessions, the initial session will be 50minutes online. To book your first appointment, you will need to pay for the session at the time of booking. 

I will send you a copy of my working contract prior to booking for your to read through, and we can discuss that further when we meet if you have any questions. Once you've paid for the initial session, I will send you a Zoom link.
