About me and my therapy practice
Life can throw us many challenges, which can sometimes leave us struggling and unable to cope. Through my lived experience, I understand how difficult it is to reach out. I use a relational approach - helping to meet your individual needs. I will work alongside you, as you navigate your way through life's challenges.
Perhaps you just want to talk in a safe and caring environment or need support to make changes? I work holistically and creatively with adults and adolescents in a caring and non-judgmental way, covering a range of issues which can significantly impact on our relationships with ourselves and others. By exploring this in therapy, we can work towards improving meaning, wellbeing and reconnection in your life.
I have a special interest in working with anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, loss, loneliness, menopause, confidence, trauma/PTSD, abuse and control and the transitions across life stages. I also have extensive experience working with young people and mental health issues.
If you're struggling with your wellbeing or feeling disconnected, I can help you to make sense of these issues and improve your coping strategies. I am here to support you through the challenges you are facing, as you embark on your journey for change, meaning and growth.
I am a qualified integrative & trauma-informed counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am fully insured and hold a current DBS to working with young adults.
My experience includes: counselling adults and CYP; working as a MIND mental health crisis worker; a CRUSE bereavement volunteer and a SAFE DV/Abuse counsellor. Furthermore, I have extensive experience of working with psychological interventions in educational settings with young people.
