About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified counsellor with a wide range of experience working with adults and young people in the charity sector and schools. Everyone is different and I draw on a range of approaches depending on your needs and the time you have.

I am passionate about empowering others to live happier and more meaningful lives. You may be seeking counselling because you are currently feeling dissatisfied with life, looking to resolve a particular issue or in the midst of a crisis. I am committed to creating a warm and transparent environment for you to talk through your thoughts and feelings.

Training, qualifications & experience

• Post graduate diploma in Counselling from Psychosynthesis Trust

• Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Young People from Place2Be

• Member of BACP

• Previous experience includes working with Mind, Place2Be, ChildLine and Kooth. I currently work in the charity sector, schools and run a private practice. I continue with personal development as part of my practice.

Practice description

Working together we can find ways to understand patterns of behaviour which can get in the way of living life in a fulfilling way. I work in a person-centred and creative way - working with what you bring and at a pace that feels right for you. I believe each of us are our own best experts and like to bring a gentle curiosity to issues that are troubling you.

I offer one-to-one short and long-term counselling on a weekly basis.

My first session

What’s next?

Please email or call me to arrange an initial meeting. I offer a 20-minute free telephone consultation and this gives you the opportunity to decide if you want to commit to sessions. We will talk through what has brought you to counselling and it will give you a chance to ask any questions.

Whether it is your first experience of therapy or if it is something you have done before, finding someone you connect with is a key part of the process. If you decide I am not the right person for you, then I will do my best to refer you to another colleague and advise you about alternative support.
