About me and my therapy practice
With the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic there is understandably increased feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and sadness. I am currently offering online video therapy enabling you to access support from the safety of your own home.
Adjusting to lockdown and social distancing measures may have left you feeling alone or trapped at home, perhaps you have more uncertainty with your job or possibly your relationships with family members, partners or friends are more strained than usual. I provide an open and confidential space where you can feel free to explore whatever you need.
My approach to therapeutic work is warm, relaxed and collaborative and I use a range of therapeutic modalities depending on your needs. An initial session offers an opportunity to explore what’s on your mind and to find out how therapy can help you, whether that is on a short term or more open-ended basis. I have also worked in both advertising and education industries, so I have a first-hand understanding of the demands of working in corporate and academic environments.
Research has shown that a good therapeutic relationship is essential to successful therapy which is why I believe the most important factor is that you feel comfortable and safe enough to be able to share how you are feeling.
Practice description
I am a qualified and BACP registered psychotherapist. I completed a masters degree in Therapeutic Counselling and trained in integrative psychotherapy so I am able to work with a range of therapeutic modalities, ranging from CBT to psychodynamic approaches, depending on your needs.
As well as working in private practice, I worked as a counsellor at a community based charity in East London for two years working with a wide range of wellbeing and mental health issues.
Prior to training as psychotherapist I worked in advertising and then education so I am able to draw on experience of working in both corporate and academic environments.
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their code of ethics and standards of professional practice.
