About me and my therapy practice
I've been helping people to manage life's challenges and transform their lives for more than 30 years. I support them in questioning beliefs and behaviours that hold them back, rewriting their stories, and living life more fully and less fearfully.
I’ve been providing telephone counselling for 25 years, and online counselling for more than thirteen. I've found each to be as effective as working face to face.

As an integrative therapist, I want to create the best experience of therapy for every client I work with. This is informed by years of studying what makes therapy effective. It seems to work. My evaluation and outcome data shows my impact is roughly double the average from published studies.

My first session
I make no assumptions that I can help you or that you’ll want to work with me. In the first session we talk about what’s brought you in touch at this point, and what you’re looking for. I want to know that I can help you, so it’s important that we share an understanding of what you want to achieve, how we might approach helping you get there and how long it might take.
If you feel confident in working with me on that basis, we should have a good foundation for our work together. As I outline in my free eBook most people experience real benefits early in therapy, so you may start to see changes sooner than you might imagine. Most clients I work with have on average between 8 – 15 sessions.
