About me and my therapy practiceI am a professionally qualified psychodynamic and CBT counsellor, with a background in sciences and in nursing. My approach to therapy is based on a belief that well-being relies on an honest, compassionate and accepting understanding of ourselves.
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental online space (via Zoom) for sensitive, compassionate exploration of problems, within a relationship built on trust.
I offer integrative therapy based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic counselling and Compassion Focused Therapy.
I believe that counselling is a cooperative, empathetic endeavour in which the counsellor and client look together at patterns of thoughts, emotions and behaviours. It takes time and trust to explore life experiences past and present in depth, gain insights and find new ways forward.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss your problems and allow the opportunity to ask questions. After a few days of reflection, if you decide to go forward, I will arrange an initial counselling session, following which we can agree to continue with regular on-going counselling or a fixed period of sessions.
