About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Andrew. How are things going for you? Want to take a minute to talk? It can be good to be heard. I am here to help you without judgment and help to find ways through it to a better, healthier place.
I am guided by the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and through counselling can explore and grow in knowledge and understanding of your own experiences and situation.
Currently, I can work with people from the age of seventeen years old upward on this.
How does that sound to you?
Although my background is in psychodynamic practice, I am not wedded to one particular theory, instead believing that different methods and interventions work for different people.
Given all of us have our particular emotional issues and histories, appreciating, understanding, and owning our life story is central to taking hold of right now and the future that unfolds from it. So helping you to that point is what I aim to do.
Sessions are 50 minutes long for one to one therapy and usually take place weekly. My work is primarily open-ended, which means that sessions are typically booked week by week (unless agreed otherwise) to meet your needs.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, sessions may take place either via telephone or video call (with a view to in-person meets being available as soon as is possible should that be desired).
Low-Cost from £25 (other circumstances can be considered)
Both for online or via telephone for the time being.
Payment can be made by BACS payment unless an alternative can be agreed. Weekly payments are also accepted. Payments covering a block of sessions (e.g., four weeks) can be made in advance but not retroactively. Invoices are provided.
Twenty-four hours notice is required for all cancellations and or rearrangements. The full pre-agreed fee will be charged if notice is not given. This charge may be waived in the case of an emergency or exceptional circumstances.
