About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and am passionate about  providing a calm, honest and non-judgemental therapeutic space.  I help and support individuals through a wide range of issues to achieve a stronger sense of self and greater self-worth. As well as working privately I also volunteer within a local organisation supporting those with substance addiction.

There can be many reasons for accessing therapy and it is well understood that this can be a  daunting process. Reading this means you have taken the first step towards finding a Counsellor.

Being a Person-Centred Counsellor means that our sessions are focused on you. We will work collaboratively to find a pace that is comfortable for you to encourage a stronger sense of self and greater self-worth. This allows for a free and open conversation. I believe my clients know best about what they want from their therapy.

My approach to therapy is Person-Centred. I aim to offer a calm, honest and non-judgemental therapeutic space. As a result, my hope would be that you feel safe enough to unpack your feelings and concerns; increase your self awareness and to move towards and reach your fullest potential.

The curious paradox is that

when I accept myself just as I am,

then I can change”

Practice description

My practice is in a beautiful and tranquil location along the East Sussex coastline and has disabled / wheelchair access. Counselling takes place in a safe space where your thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely; whether this is face to face or over zoom.

I am currently seeing clients online via Zoom. This has worked well for many of my clients as it offers more flexibility.

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, and I receive regular clinical supervision from an accredited practitioner.

My first session

Initially, I offer a complementary 30-minute session for clients to talk about what they would like to gain from therapy. Within this time I will listen to you, offering a calm and non-judgemental presence. I will provide you with the information that you need to make an informed decision regarding your therapy during this session. You decide what you would like help or support with. You as my client are at the centre of our work and we will explore whatever you choose to share with me.

After this session, if you feel I am a good fit for you, we can book in future sessions. These will be 50 minutes each.
