I am working remotely from home with no set hours. This can be written counselling, video counselling, or using a phone service. I will try to fit around your hours and with what works best for you.

I want to provide  a service which fits all and not for just some. I want to be "the universal glue" it doesn't matter what's the problem, where you are or who you are - the glue will be useful and It will work.

The hours and the rate are flexible and affordable to all.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Debbie and I would like the chance for us to work together.

Why choose me? Because  I know I can help you. There is nothing about you which will stop me from wanting to work with you. I want to hear what you have to say and how that makes you feel. There will be no secrets you have a voice and are totally free to talk openly and honestly at all times. I will not judge you, I will accept you and I will hold all of you.

I can help you with and it is not limited to any kind of domestic abuse, struggles from being a carer, any level of depression & anxiety, bereavement from illness or from suicide,  OCD,  couple's therapy, work related stress, or panic disorders.

If it is affecting you, then you need to talk.

The umbrella of Mental Health dismantles you from within. Bereavement may leave you feeling isolated and alone. Especially if the bereavement relates to children or it's sudden and unexpected. Even a complicated death can leave a mark.

I am passionate about building a therapeutic relationship one that gives you autonomy. I start the process where in the end you can forgive yourself, accept yourself and love yourself. Sounds so American I know, but so true. You are worth it and you owe it to yourself.

There may be times in session when you feel overwhelmed or even slightly challenged but stay with the process. When you  reached your finishing line, each self-reflection worth its weight in gold. You will judge yourself and see how much you have grown as a person and realised how far you have moved forward with your life.

Let me have one hour out of your week, I am here for you and truthfully,  that's all you really need..

Practice description

I work from a Person-Centred theory, which in laymen's term means - I work along the side of you and I am directed by you and what you bring into each session. I don't know you - only you know yourself. I am trained in listening to what you have to say, I hear your thoughts and understand why you might behave or react in a certain way. I watch the whole of you as I see each action, I hear each word, I study each behaviour. Combine these three areas and that tells me your truth from your eyes only as you see it.

My first session

Our first point of contact would have been made from you reading about me via a listing from a directory or from a self referral. After talking to me on the phone or from messaging we would then arrange our first counselling session. We will talk about "a working contract"  the do's and don't and my legal requirements surrounding confidentiality and how I store any notes which I may  take during a session. This will also include any homework exercises which might form part of your therapy with me. I will ask you open questions to find out about your past and how your past has made the person who now I have the pleasure in meeting and working with. I will work each session with what you bring into each session, it will never be directed by me. I will ask you questions and I will maintain the control but the content is all yours - it is your session and my service to you.
