About me and my therapy practice

Hello and a warm welcome. I’m a registered MBACP counsellor offering in-person or online counselling. In-person sessions take place in Newnham, close to Cambridge City Centre. Online sessions are on Zoom.

I provide a calm, empathetic, inclusive, non-judgemental and safe space to explore your issues. My compassionate listening and authentic interest enable your trust in being seen, heard, understood and supported.

My humanistic and Gestalt approach is holistic, addressing mind, emotions and body. I offer counselling that's flexibly and uniquely adapted and suited to your individual needs, opening up ways you can work towards fuller self-understanding while finding more acceptance and ease within yourself.

Practice description

My role as your counsellor is to be a companion, always curious about your discoveries and supporting you to make your own meanings from what you find. Our work together gives the chance to explore the present concerns that are bringing you to counselling. As part of the process, you might also look at your earlier life, or consider what’s ahead, discovering how your thoughts and feelings about past and future may link with what’s happening in your experiences and relationships right now.

I encourage you in the moment to notice and describe how you’re feeling, emotionally and in your body, enabling and supporting you towards a fuller awareness of yourself as a whole being.

As counselling continues you may start to encounter new insights and perspectives, with potential to bring about self-supporting change and growth.

My first session

I offer an initial, free, no obligation phone or Zoom consultation to find out what’s bringing you to counselling and whether working together would be right for both of us. Please email or call to arrange a date and time. 

After our initial call, if we agree to go ahead, we’ll arrange to meet for a chosen number of sessions, or start on an open-ended basis, whichever is best for you. 

An online or in-person session lasts for 50 minutes and will usually be on the same day and time each week.
