About me and my therapy practice
If you are 16+ and suffering from depression or anxiety, having relationship problems, struggling with self esteem or self confidence issues, or simply feeling a little lost and not quite yourself, I may be able to help. I endeavour to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to open up and talk about the issues you are facing. I start by cultivating a strong, trusting relationship with you, because it can be really difficult to show vulnerability in front of a stranger and I want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible sharing big feelings and emotions.
I am empathic, supportive and warm, but I am also authentic. I believe that in order to be helpful to you, sometimes therapy has to be challenging, yet you may be surprised to hear that a little humour often comes into sessions too.
My first session
As I believe that the relationship between us is paramount, I offer a free 30 minute phone call or Zoom so we can get to know each other a little, and you can decide if you might want to work together, before you part with any money. Whether or not this is your first experience of counselling, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have in order to help put you at ease - just email or call, and we can arrange the free appointment.
