One of the advantages of online therapy is flexibility.
I have a busy practice but will try and work with you to accommodate your needs around when works best for you to meet.
Once we agree on a regular day and time to meet you will have the structure that is so important in building a healthy engagement with therapy. However I understand work, home and other life commitments sometimes mean you might need a little flexibility. If you are looking for a therapist that tries to offer that get in touch and we can talk further about what you need.
Please ask about specific availability when you get in touch however I offer appointments in the day time and evenings up to 8pm.
About me and my therapy practice
We have learnt a lot over the past year about how to meet and 'be' with each other online and my interest in that has led me to take an increasing interest in this way of offering psychotherapeutic support.
I have worked online for many years with clients all over the world but I also bring my years of experience working face to face with clients into this way of working.
I am an integrative therapist and I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgemental and completely confidential service. Counselling and Psychotherapy is a very personal process and every client is unique. I am committed to working with every individual in a way that is tailored to their individual therapeutic needs.
I have over 14 years experience of providing both time limited Counselling and long term Psychotherapy. I have worked as a Counsellor at the mental health charity Mind, and also with long term clients at the Minster Centre. Currently I work in Private Practice as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
There is no charge for an initial phone consultation so if you have questions, want to find out more for the future or want to book an appointment now please do get in touch.
Having that initial 15-20 minute conversation over the phone gives me the opportunity to find out a little more about you and why you are seeking therapeutic support at the moment, you can ask any questions you may have at this time and we can discuss the practicalities of meeting.
My first session
Your first session is usually a chance to pick up on what we started to discuss during our initial phone conversation.
It's a chance for me to find out more about you and how you are feeling, to talk about what's happening for you in your life right now, but also to consider some of what you have been experiencing in the longer term and to begin to consider some of your history. We also talk about what you would like to get from your sessions and your expectations of what changes you would like to experience.
Of course a first session allows you to experience what it might be like to work with me and it is a chance for both of us to work out whether it feels right to continue that work together.
In that regard there is no obligation following your initial session and we can work together on thinking through what might be right for you.
