About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling anxious but not sure why? Struggling with relationships or overwhelming feelings of sadness? Experiencing work related stress? Maybe aspects from your past or repeated childhood patterns and behaviours are preventing you from moving on? You may have experienced a loss or a bereavement.
Sometimes we can be faced with challenges in life that prevent us from coping with everyday situations and when left unaddressed, will continue to have a negative impact on our well being, resulting in issues such as anxiety or panic disorder, depression, low self esteem or feelings of distress or hopelessness.
How can counselling help?
I'ts about investing in time for yourself to talk about and explore the thoughts, feelings and situations that are causing your distress or having a negative impact on your life and your relationships. I am here to listen to and work with you, providing you with the support and the tools to enable you to navigate your way through your difficulties, increasing the awareness of your true self, the self that quite often gets lost along the way. Armed with this new increased self awareness, you will be empowered to make choices and changes with more clarity and understanding.
I work with both adults and young people and from my private practice in Kings Langley, can provide you with a safe, confidential, non judgemental space.
How do I work?
I work from an integrative perspective which means I can call on different theoretical approaches in order to provide a treatment that is the most beneficial for you. This may involve taking a journey into your past, setting some future goals or expressing your feelings in a more creative way in the room.
Practice description
My private practice is based in a beautiful listed building in Kings Langley.
The room is large enough to accommodate families and groups and is an excellent space for younger clients to experience counselling through creativity and play.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified clinical supervisor using the Inskipp and Proctor model of Formative, Normative and restorative alongside Hawkins and Shohet's seven eyed model of supervision.
I am an Integrative therapist and my model includes psychodynamic theory and Transactional Analysis with Person Centred theory being at the core of my practice.
As well as my own private practice where I see adults and young people, I offer counselling to students in secondary schools including children with special educational needs.
I have experience of 1-1 and also group supervision which includes non clinical supervision of professionals working within a school setting.
I currently supervise groups of counsellors working within a school setting and also trainee counsellors within a training academy.
I can offer a safe, confidential, supportive environment for you to explore your client work, ensuring that you are working ethically and encouraging you to work to the best of your ability by supporting and challenging you whilst you reflect on your clients and subsequently develop your own self awareness.
I would like to think I offer a relaxed environment for supervisees.
I have a room large enough to accomodate group work but am also happy to travel to a work place within Hertfordshire or work remotely over zoom.
