About me and my therapy practice
Do you ever feel like you're struggling to hold everything together? Are you feeling unfulfilled, unsure or overwhelmed by life? Maybe you've never really spoken to anyone about how you're feeling, or you're not sure your problems are “big enough” - or small enough - for therapy.
I am a person-centred therapist, which means that I will welcome and support you in whatever you bring to therapy, listening to you and working with you to explore, reflect on and gain insight into yourself and your situation in a warm, welcoming and confidential therapeutic space.
I am a fully qualified, experienced, neurodivergent-friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly counsellor/psychotherapist and I have supported clients from a range of ages and backgrounds, working with issues including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, loneliness, relationships, domestic / sexual abuse, loss and trauma. For me, it is the greatest privilege to support someone through their darkest moments and to witness the personal growth and development that therapy can bring.
Counselling can be a fascinating process of self-discovery, helping you to understand how you became the person you are and to think about how you might want to move forwards as you develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance.
Every client and every therapeutic process is different, and I will always value you as a unique individual, with the utmost respect for the journey you have navigated and the place you find yourself in now.
My first session
If you think you might be interested in therapy with me, feel free to get in touch by phone, text message or email. Opening up to someone new can feel daunting, so I offer a free telephone or video consultation as an opportunity for us to find out a little bit more about each other before booking in a counselling session.
This will give you a feel for my approach and how I work, we can talk a little bit about what has brought you to counselling and you can ask me any questions you might have. The client-therapist relationship is one of the most important elements of therapy, so it doesn't feel right to you after our initial conversation, just let me know, and keep searching for someone with whom it clicks.
