About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes, life can feel like a struggle and distress caused by anxiety, depression, anger, loss or bereavement just makes it even harder to move forward.
You may be feeling isolated and have no one else to talk to or be finding it difficult to share your problems with family and friends. Therapy can help you to freely express yourself, enabling the opportunity to cope and find a way to lead the life you want to live. I can give you the opportunity to share these difficult feelings and emotions in a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space.
My approach is to work with and alongside you, providing a place in which you can talk about whatever you wish to bring to the session. I can help you explore more about yourself and why you are feeling the way you are.
You might be experiencing a loss in your life, for example, such as the death of a loved one or the end of a relationship, job or career. All of these can be particularly emotional, so I would help you through your own individual process of grief to help you accept the loss and find ways to move on.
Sometimes people experience difficulties in relationships with people they are close to such as partners, relatives or friends and can feel stuck not knowing how to approach a painful situation. Through spending time together, exploring relationships and dynamics, changes can be found to make your life feel right again, as it should.
Finally, the relationship with your therapist is key in helping you make the change you wish for in yourself. It is important you feel comfortable, supported and at ease with whomever you choose to help you. However daunting this may seem, you have already taken the first step forward. Working together we can find the solutions you are looking for in your life.
