About me and my therapy practice
As professionally qualified counsellor offering a confidential, non-judgemental counselling service for young people and adults, I offer you space and time to explore issues or problems and help you find new ways to live your life more effectively.
In addition to having experience working with anxiety; low-mood; bereavement; and loss; I have experience in working with people who have suffered trauma; those with suicidal thoughts; and those who self-harm.
My experience has been gained through working, not only in private practice, but also in working in the public sector (Belfast Trust) and voluntary sector (community counselling service).
Also, having had a successful 30-year career in a private sector profession, I am positioned to understand, and provide counselling for, the stresses and psychological impacts of a busy career.
The aim of my practice is to help clients find resources to cope with issues and to identify, understand and resolve any underlying causes.
My first session
If you are considering some counselling/therapy, it is important to work with a therapist that feels right for you.
A good way to see if we might be able to work together is for us to have a conversation.
This is why I offer the first session free-of-charge; a no obligation meeting for you to see if I can help you to begin to identify your needs.
