About me and my therapy practice
Clients are offered a time and space where they can be heard. I think with them about their difficulties and about how these might link with their relationships and their everyday lives.
Having worked in the NHS for forty years, first as a medical doctor, then a psychiatrist and now as a psychodynamic therapist. I have a wealth of experience in many settings of physical and mental health and believe the two are interlinked. I have worked for many years with people suffering from eating disorders as well as working on a voluntary basis for psychotherapy services and for IAPT.
An additional qualification in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy enables me to work on both long and short-term bases.
I am professionally insured and bound by the BACP code of ethics. I believe that the unconscious and our past experiences shape our current behaviours and life experience.
