About me and my therapy practice
I am a first-generation Londoner born and raised. I understand the pressures of living in a big competitive city, and how lonely and isolating it can feel. We all face difficulties at some point in our lives, be it in work, in relationships, or after suffering a loss. I can support you through whatever challenges you face, helping you gain the tools to live in a calmer, more satisfying way.
I am an integrative psychodynamic counsellor which means I work with the conscious and the unconscious and also understanding how our formative years impact us in our current lives.
I see clients face to face in Kensington and Islington, and remotely online.
Offering short or long-term therapy depending on your needs and wishes. I am a fully insured and supervised member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and as such work within their Ethical Framework.
Practice description
I create a safe, consistent, confidential space where you can express your thoughts and feelings and speak about your current and past challenges. Helping you gain greater self-awareness.
This can help make changes in your life, act differently in relationships and better understand patterns of behaviour.
I specialise in addictions and anxiety and have extensive experience with depression and abuse. I will support you, challenge you gently, reflect back to you what you have said and allow you to find your way in the sessions.
My first session
I suggest we meet for an initial consultation. This is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and how we might work together. There is no obligation to continue.
I will explain how I work, and ask you questions to find out more about your life, what is troubling you and what you would like to get out of therapy. You will have the opportunity to clarify any questions or concerns you may have about the process of therapy and how I work.
Many people are intimidated by the thought of starting therapy and fears about what to expect. I hope to make things as comfortable for you as possible, allowing you to take things at whatever pace you would like.
