About me and my therapy practice
Are you someone who keeps finding themselves repeating the same painful patterns? Are you left feeling anxious, exhausted, frustrated and stuck with your current life situation? You may be struggling with drinking, drugging and disordered eating or may be despairing from what feels like consistent arguments with your family.
Perhaps you’re open to exploring these parts of your life and gain some understanding about them? You may be looking to address your stuck ways of being and learn ways of managing your feelings.
I specialise in working with people who have anxiety and other related issues.
Working together, we would explore what’s happening in your life at the moment and what’s happened in the past to try and make sense of these feelings and navigate a way through towards a sense of hope and strength.
Practice description
Working with you, I would listen to your story, ask compasionate questions aiming to explore your life and to understand those areas of life that you’re struggling with. The aim is to help provide you with a deeper knowledge of yourself and discover what matters to you in life.
My approach is Integrative but with a solutions focus. By this, I mean that I use a wide variety of therapeutic approaches dependent on what you need specifically to to assist you in feeling more hopeful and fulfilled.
My first session
I understand that choosing a therapist that you can connect with and trust is essential. In order that you can get a good sense of how we could work together, I offer a free 15 minute introductory phone call. If we decide that we will be able to work together, we can schedule a time for a first session. If we aren’t a good fit I can always refer you on to someone who may suit your needs more.
In the first session, we will discuss in more detail what's brought you to therapy and also run through some of your personal history.
Once I've learnt a little bit more about you, we will discuss a plan for therapy in order to help you with the issues that are contributing to your anxiety.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an online addictions counsellor working with clients to help them find a way through the particular addiction or relationship problems they face.
Addiction comes many forms, alcohol, drugs, gambling or sex and I am experienced in working with any issues relating to these areas.
With regards to relationships, you may be tired from constant fighting with your partner, feeling insecure or finding it difficult to stay in relationships. These along with many other issues, are aspects which we can explore together.
With a great deal of mental health problems, there can be a component of anxiety and depression and we can explore these areas too.
I very much believe in discovering ways in which my clients can live a more fulfilling and purposeful life, so whilst we will examine the past, we will also work towards a more hopeful future.
Practice description
I have a warm, welcoming style and like to build a strong collaborative relationship with my clients.
I work from an Integrative perspective which means that I draw from a number of therapeutic approaches depending on what is required. I will always make the focus of the therapy the challenge that you have. This helps to provide a framework to give focus, and flexibility to the therapy so that we can effectively help you with your addiction, anxiety, depression or relationship issues.
I am currently offering one to one sessions of 50 minutes either in person, on-line or a mixture of the two.
My first session
First of all, I offer a free 15-20 minute phone or Zoom consultation so that we can get a sense of each other and decide if I am the right therapist for you.
If you decide you'd like a first session, we will set up a time for a first online session. I will send a link for our meeting and also an email with a link to a welcome pack, a contact detail form and a therapy agreement, that should answer any admin questions that you have.
In your first session, we will explore your reasons for coming to therapy, your personal history and any other important information that comes up. Towards the end of the session we will discuss what options are available in terms of further therapy with me.
