About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrated Therapist which means that I work with clients in a variety of ways. Drawing on various counselling theories and practises to help clients depending upon each client's individual needs.
I can work with you on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationships for example. Or it may be you can't quite put your finger on the problem. Perhaps you just don't feel as happy or as satisfied with life as you feel you could, in which case I offer you a safe place to explore what's going on.
I work with individuals of all ages having experience of working with both Adults and Young People.
My comfortable therapy room is in my garden and I offer face to face counselling from there or if you prefer we can use an online method such as Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp, or a mixture of both.
For those with agoraphobia or mobility issues it is possible to arrange for me to visit you, although this depends on location. I am happy to discuss this with you.

I offer short term therapy as well as long term therapy.
Each client is different in their requirements, so the length of the therapy is client lead. I have had clients who are ready to move forward after just a few sessions, also those who need support in a more open ended way.
Usually therapy is a 50 minute session on a weekly basis at the same time each week. As therapy progresses clients may wish to see me once every fortnight or every month.
My first session
It takes courage to take that first step and contact a counsellor. I am here for you in taking that step.
I am very happy to hear from you either by email or phone. Many clients prefer to make the initial contact by text. That's okay too it really is up to you.
We can arrange to have a free 20 minute phone call or zoom meeting where we can discuss your requirements and I can tell you a bit more about my practise and the way I work. Then if you would like to proceed with an initial session we can arrange a time that I am available and that is convenient for you.
In this first session we will begin to get to know one another, agree how we will work together, complete any paperwork and you can generally get an idea if I am someone that you would like to work with. This first session is £30 for a 50 minute. We can then arrange our weekly time for your sessions. Sessions can be via online means, or face to face in my garden office or a mixture of both whatever works for you.
Payments should be made prior to your session and are usually non-refundable in event of a short notice cancellation (less than 48 hours). Payments can be made by Bank transfer. I offer discounts for block pre-payments.
