About me and my therapy practice

I have over 20 years of clinical and therapeutic experience.

I work with individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, and major life changes.

My approach is tailored to the individual needs of each person or couple I work with. Alongside emotional support, I help clients explore behavioural patterns, relationship dynamics, and past or present experiences that may be affecting their wellbeing.

I aim to provide a thoughtful and supportive space where people can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-understanding, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Practice description

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, particularly when life feels overwhelming or relationships are under strain.

I work in a calm, collaborative, and reflective way, supporting clients to slow things down, make sense of what they are experiencing, and develop a clearer understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, or major life changes, counselling can offer a space to pause, process what you are going through, and move forward with greater clarity.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve.

I use the first session to consider which therapeutic approach may be most helpful and appropriate for your individual needs. Where relevant, I may also suggest additional resources, including articles or blogs, that could support your understanding between sessions.

You are welcome to ask questions at any stage, and there is no pressure to share anything before you feel ready.
