About me and my therapy practice
I completed my Bsc Psychology degree in 2007 and my Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic counselling in 2012. I am accredited with the BACP. My training was integrative therefore I use a combination of person centred and cognitive behavioral therapy skills, tailored to the client needs.
I have worked in an occupational health setting for many years which has provided me with a breadth of experience including:
Anxiety
Stress
Depression
Family issues
Relationship problems
Work-related stress
Low self esteem and self worth
Low self confidence
Bereavement
Loneliness and Social Anxiety
Practice description
I provide a supportive working relationship. I do this by offering a confidential space to reflect on how you are feeling and to explore what is going on in your life.
Sometimes it can be hard to open up to people in our lives. Counselling is a chance to speak to someone completely separate from your friends and family.
It is an opportunity for you to focus on yourself and how life is impacting on you.
My first session
It is important to choose a counsellor you feel comfortable speaking to. I am happy to arrange an introductory telephone call so you can ask any questions and get a feel for how the sessions would be.
What I can help with
Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Depression, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Personal development, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Brief therapy, CBT, Integrative, Person centred, Solution focused brief therapy
Clients I work with
Adults, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Telephone therapy
