About me and my therapy practice
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick. I have worked with organisations including Mind and the NHS.
My aim is to provide a safe, confidential and compassionate space for you to talk through what’s troubling you without the fear of judgement.
We can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour with a view of improving your self-awareness, self-acceptance and self-compassion.
We might consider your past and present life events and relationships which could help you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, improve your relationships and gain a greater sense of control over your life, making life more fulfilling in general.
I work relationally and see the reparative experience as being central to our work. We will work collaboratively and I will facilitate you in making your own decisions and reaching your own conclusions.
I draw on theory and techniques from a variety of approaches including Gestalt, Person Centred, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Attachment theory.
I have experience working with an array of issues including but not limited to: low mood, anxiety and panic, relationship issues, loss, self-esteem and body image.
Practice description
I work with adults based in the UK on a weekly or fortnightly one-to-one basis via video or telephone. Sessions last 50 minutes and are held on the same time and day.
