Availability

I am available Monday to Thursday (9 am to 5 pm) and on Fridays (9 am to 12.30 pm).

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a counselling relationship within which you can feel safe and can explore whatever is causing you distress. With warmth, empathy, humour and respect, I will help you to discover ways of living more resourcefully and authentically, and will try to understand you and your experiences without being in any way judgemental.

I have worked as a staff counsellor with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and am an affiliate counsellor with several Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs), providing counselling to private organisations and Government Departments. I am a qualified coach, have trained in equine-assisted therapy and also work online.

I offer a 10% discount for NHS employees and members of the British armed forces.

Practice description

My practice is conveniently situated in central Liverpool. It is approximately 15 minutes walk from both Liverpool Central and Liverpool Lime Street stations and can be reached via several bus routes.

My first session

At your first session, you will have an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask questions about how the process works and discuss any concerns you have. During this session and, if you choose to continue, in subsequent sessions, you will be encouraged to express your feelings and thoughts, explore the issues which are troubling you, and discover ways of living more resourcefully. The work you do will be about self-discovery and about finding solutions which are right for you, rather than receiving advice or being told what to do.

Sessions from £55.00

Currently, I am unable to take on any new supervisees.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a supportive relationship based on acceptance, openness and empathy. Supervision should be professionally challenging and, just as importantly, should be a place where supervisees can celebrate their successes. I want my supervisees to feel listened to, understood, empowered and better-equipped to work effectively and ethically.

My work as a supervisor is essentially Person-centred. In casework presentation, which inevitably lies at the heart of supervision, I emphasise counsellor process rather than client content. I also focus on the developmental aspects of a counsellor's work as well as ethical considerations and diversity.

I offer a reduced fee for trainee counsellors.
