About me and my therapy practice
I draw upon differing ways of working to explore and understand your feelings and experiences, through counselling and psychotherapy. My aim is to help you to understand your inner experiences, your aims and desired outcomes, and to work together towards helping you design the future you would like, without fear or sadness, anxiety or stress.
We all experience times in our life when challenges seem to bring us down, make us stressed, or when we feel as though something 'just isn't right'. It might be that you feel that life could be better than it is. Or you may have experienced a life change, such as redundancy or a bereavement. Anxiety and stress can bring unwelcome fear and worry, often with panic or a sense of rising dread. Whereas, low mood can bring feelings of low self-worth, feelings of guilt or shame, and loss of interest in people or things. Whatever the issue, exploring thoughts and feelings can help us feel better about them. I am here to help.
My first session
In our first session together will look at what isn't feeling right and where you feel you would like things to be different. It may be that you don't quite know what it is that is upsetting you, so our work will be in exploring this. We then chat about the outcomes you would like and where I feel I can help, along with a little bit of background of how I work and where counselling and psychotherapy can be of help for you.
