About me and my therapy practice

My aim is to help clients navigate through difficult and complex terrain towards a lasting sense of understanding and personal resilience.  I practice from a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and Jungian perspective.

Within confidential sessions, I offer highly experienced, meaningful support for you to find a way through your problems and tend to what matters most in your life: your relationships, mind, emotions and what you dream of or hope to build upon too.

I am a professionally registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

I work with adults, undertaking long term/unlimited psychodynamic therapy and, where suitable, shorter term counselling, within my private practices in the Mendips/central Somerset.

I practice from a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and Jungian perspective.  This means that I consider what might be significant for you beneath the surface, as well as what is currently happening in your life. Lifelong patterns, conflicts, losses, relationships, experiences and concerns are thought about in the context of how they may be influencing your present situation. Relief and insight to live as you intend can then be developed.

I maintain reliable and robust boundaries to enable you to explore challenging issues safely and help you better understand your self, experiences and relationships. Therapy can be an enriching process: somewhere to find purpose and perspective that is beneficial for you and those close to you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I have many years of practicing professional Psychodynamic/psychoanalytic/Jungian therapy & counselling.  I offer a safe and confidential space for you to bring whatever is troubling you or on your mind. My aim is to help you navigate through difficult & complex problems towards peace and an enduring sense of understanding, personal resilience & identity.  I offer therapy to adults from age 18 onwards. I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures and circumstances and meet diversity and difference with interest.

Practice description

My approach is thoughtful, respectful and non-intrusive. Together we will investigate what it is you are struggling with and discover where there is need and possibility for repair, restoration, acceptance, release. Finding a healthy way to move through your distress, confusion or stuckness then becomes more tangible and realistic.

I am trained in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic and Jungian analytical psychology. I consider what might be significant for you beneath the surface, as well as what is currently happening in your life.

I work both long term (open ended/unlimited) and shorter term where suitable. In all cases your hopes and circumstances are an important part of the discussion.

My first session

Initial consultations (usually two, but possibly more sessions) give opportunity for us both to find out whether working together could be helpful for you.

For an initial appointment, you are welcome to get in touch. I endeavor to respond to enquiries within 24 hours during the working week.  We would usually have a free introductory phone call to establish contact.
