About me and my therapy practice

As an experienced Psychodynamic counsellor my approach is thoughtful and respectful, providing an accepting environment to enable you to find a way through your concerns, even when it feels hard to know where to begin. I work sensitively with all forms of diversity.

I am committed to Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic method. This means that I consider what might be significant for you beneath the surface, as well as what is currently happening in your life. Life long patterns, conflicts, losses, relationships and difficulties are thought about in the context of how they may be influencing your present situation. Relief and any changes for the better are then possible from a grounded self knowledge.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to bring whatever is on your mind without intrusion. The support and understanding found in therapy can be meaningful for you, and consequently those around you, in a lasting way. Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes.

I work with adults of all ages, from young adults of 18 to senior citizens. I am experienced in working a wide variety of concerns and issues and with people from many different backgrounds, cultures and circumstances.

My clinical work is consistent with the ethical and professional standards set out by the British Psychoanalytic Council and the BACP.

Please feel welcome to contact me, in confidence, with any queries.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I have many years of practicing professional Psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy & counselling.  I offer a safe and confidential space for you to bring whatever is troubling you or on your mind. My aim is to help you navigate through difficult & complex problems towards peace and an enduring sense of understanding, personal resilience & identity.  I offer therapy to adults from age 18 onwards. I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures and circumstances and meet diversity and difference with interest.

Practice description

My approach is thoughtful, respectful and non-intrusive. Together we will investigate what it is you are struggling with and discover where there is need and possibility for repair, restoration, acceptance, release. Finding a healthy way to move through your distress, confusion or stuckness then becomes more tangible and realistic.

I trained in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic method. This means that I consider what might be significant for you beneath the surface, as well as what is currently happening in your life. Lifelong patterns, conflicts, losses, relationships, experiences and concerns are thought about in the context of how they may be influencing your present situation. Relief and insight to live as you intend can then develop from sturdy roots.

I maintain reliable and robust boundaries to enable you to explore challenging issues safely and help you better understand your self, experiences and relationships. Therapy can be an enriching process: somewhere to find purpose and perspective that is beneficial for you and those close to you.

I work both long term (open ended/unlimited) and shorter term where suitable. In all cases your hopes and circumstances are an important part of the discussion.
