About me and my therapy practice
I work with a diverse range of individual clients and couples ranging in age from early twenties to into their 70’s. Usually this is on a short or long term face to face counselling basis. In the current climate I am offering video consultations to help you work through any issues or traumas you may be experiencing.
I offer a warm, confidential and safe place to help clients express themselves and work through whatever is causing their distress. We all do the best we can in our situation, sometimes the situation we find ourselves in is too overwhelming and we feel stuck in it. It helps to discuss this with somebody who is a stranger and sometimes the client just needs a listening ear but at times issues can be deep seated and as I am an Adlerian Therapist, clients have found the memory work as well as an creative approach very helpful as well as insightful into their present issues.
The relationship between counsellor and client is of the upmost importance and in the first session we can see if we are a ‘good fit’ which will enables us to work well together to help resolve the current issues and I may be able to offer you tools going forward to help with this also.
My academic background is a BSc in Psychology and a Diploma in Adlerian Counselling as well as a Diploma in Life Coaching.

I have had several years experience working at a GP's surgery, and now run my own private practice from Chinnor on the borders of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
This location are easily accessible with plenty of parking.
The rooms are confidential, safe, clean and provide a welcoming, quiet space to discuss concerns.
Due to lockdown and Corona issues, most of my work is now done through the online video platform Zoom.
My first session
First sessions are often a particularly nervous time for new clients which I fully understand. Having made contact is a very important first step and then it takes courage to follow through and speak to a therapist about sometimes, very personal issues. My approach is very open, friendly and I make sure you are as comfortable as you can be in the situation. In our first session we can see if we will be a 'good fit'. The therapist and client can ascertain if they can work together so the client feels comfortable, safe and free to share anything.
This is the time to find out the issues the client would like help with as well as what the expectation is from the sessions. This we can then discuss and see how I may be able to help you.
