I offer flexibility of sessions during the day or evening, recognising that life can not always be fitted in to 9-5. Sessions can be a regular set day/time each week or change day/time week to week. Whichever is fits best for your lifestyle.

I offer an initial free 30 minute no obligation introductory session which will give us the chance to meet each other first, look at what you would like to get out of counselling and for you to ask any questions. This can be face to face or online.

About me and my therapy practice

Counselling can be both difficult and empowering. I believe that you are the expert in your life and I am here to help you realise that. I have experience of working with adults and young people in a holistic, person centred way. I see each person as an individual, acknowledging and respecting the courage it takes to open up and talk about your feelings.  

In a previous life before Counselling, I have worked in a variety of educational roles leading me to have almost 20 years experience of working with children and young people. This, alongside having 2 teenagers of my own, has led me to having an interest in using creative techniques alongside talking therapy as an option to help people express themselves should they feel it beneficial.

We all have mental health. We all have physical health. We quite often will look for support if we are struggling with our physical health and I believe that it should be as acceptable and accessible for support if struggling with our mental health.

Practice description

Based less than a 10 minute drive outside of the town centre, I am able to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental environment. 

I also offer online counselling sessions via zoom. 

My first session

I offer a free initial 30 minute introductory session. This can be face to face, phone or online, whichever best suits your needs. 

The initial session will give us the opportunity to meet each other, answer any questions that you may have and look at what you would like to get out of counselling. If you're happy to continue, then we will book the first session. Sessions are usually carried out on a weekly basis unless agreed otherwise.
