About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling lost, anxious, stressed or low? Are your feelings or thoughts troubling you and impacting on your relationships and quality of life? Maybe you are struggling with low self-worth or a general feeling that your life is unmanageable. I support individuals and couples from all walks of life coping with a variety of life stressors, exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that you arrive at a more accurate understanding of yourself. This empowers you to make choices that will enable you to live your life in a way that is meaningful to you. New possibilities for behaving and relating are opened up and positively impact resilience and choice. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and have trained extensively around anxiety and depression so I can offer you the most up-to-date interventions and understanding to help you address the impairments that you might be experiencing as a result of these issues.
I understand that starting the process of attending therapy can be daunting which is why I ensure you are fully supported, accepted and free to express a full range of feelings where you can feel truly heard and validated. Collaboration is at the heart of each session, underpinned by trust, authentic acceptance and my respect for you as a unique individual. In the context of this relationship we can grow an understanding of how your experiences and history influence your life, often in unsuspecting ways and how to move in the best direction for you. Whether you are looking for sustained change, deeper understanding or solutions to current difficulties, I am here to help.
My first session
I offer a free initial session by telephone where we can assess what you would like to bring and to gain from counselling and how we can work together. Our first session is always about getting to know each other and painting a better picture of your therapeutic needs. From there, each session is customized around your needs and goals to help you optimize your sessions.
