About me and my therapy practice
Would you like to feel more resourced to handle the challenges that you are currently facing? Feel an inner confidence that you've got what it takes? Trust that you might not feel that way now but maybe it's possible?
I support adults and young people from age 16 onwards who are coping with a variety of issues that are causing distress or frustration. Maybe you are navigating anxiety, depression, or body dysmorphia. Or do self sabotage traits like people pleasing leave you struggling with feelings of guilt and make setting healthy boundaries difficult? Maybe you have a strong inner critic or your relationships feel unrewarding or stressful?
Whether you are looking for sustained change, deeper understanding or solutions to current difficulties, I am here to help.
I work in a collaborative way as I believe that you have within you an innate wisdom and capacity to grow and reach your full potential. Therapy works best when we feel safe enough to bring what we need to without fear of judgement. In the context of this relationship we will develop an understanding of how your experiences and history influence your life, often in unsuspecting ways and how you can apply new insights and understanding in the most effective ways, leaving you feeling resourced and confident to manage whatever life brings your way.
I am a fully accredited psychotherapist and clinical supervisor and I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, complex trauma and relationship challenges. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and have further certifications for DBT, ADHD and working with complex trauma.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling stuck, anxious, stressed or low? Do certain feelings or thoughts cause you distress? Is an inner critic sabotaging you? Maybe you are struggling with anger or guilt or find it hard to assert yourself. Or you might be navigating relationship challenges, ADHD, trauma, low self-worth or a general feeling that your life is unrewarding.
There are many reasons why our wellbeing and life satisfaction can be impaired and it can be difficult to implement change unless we have the understanding and awareness of where and how we can make these changes. Developing a more accurate understanding of yourself and circumstances from the clarity and insight that counselling provides, opens up new possibilities and empowers you to make effective changes.
Therapy is most effective when we feel safe enough to express ourselves fully, free of any fear of judgement or criticism. Together, we'll work to make sense of what is happening for you, how your experiences and history influence your life, often in unsuspecting ways, helping you to discover more resilience and creativity so that you feel confident and resourced for whatever life sends your way.
I understand that choosing the right therapist can feel daunting with so much choice, so I offer a a free initial 20 minute consultation where we can explore what you would like to gain from counselling if we could be a good fit. If I feel my approach is not suitable for you, I will advise you during our discussion and if you feel it would be helpful, assist you in considering alternative sources of support.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is an integral part of working ethically and effectively as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I believe in creating a safe, supportive supervisory environment where you can explore and develop your practice and achieve your professional goals.
My approach is to primarily provide the safety you need to bring what you really need to bring without fear of judgement, so that you can grown and learn, not just as a professional but as an individual. I want your supervision be a place of support, learning, growth and challenge, where all of your work can be brought and reflected on.
Practice description
In my supervision practice, I work using the seven eyed model of supervision which provides many effective angles of how we approach your supervision together so that you gain maximum benefit from the process. It also enables me to offer supervision for many different modalites as it has an expansive perspective that transcends specific modalities to encompass everything that is occuring in the therapeutic space.
I am a fully accredited counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor. My core training is psychodynamic but since qualifying have trained extensively in trauma interventions and use an integrative approach. I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, relational challenges, trauma and neurodiversity. I established my private practice in 2019 and prior to that gained experience working with bereavement and domestic abuse.
I offer a free initial 20 minute consultation to talk through the different option available to you and I would encourage you to think about the personal qualities you would want from your supervisor. I offer online sessions in addition to providing face-to-face sessions from my office in Chesterfield.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to know more about how I work and what I have to offer you.
