About me and my therapy practice
Do you need help with relationship issues? Are you suffering from anxiety or depression? Are you struggling with stress in your work? I provide a warm, caring, safe space for you to explore whatever you need. I also offer family and couples counselling.I am an accredited member of the UKCP, on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, hold a diploma in Family Therapy and am also a member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
Practice description
Depending on what you need, we can work short term on specific issues, longer term in-depth psychotherapy, or coaching where I can help you achieve success and fulfilment in your personal or professional life. I find supporting people, helping them develop and grow particularly engaging and meaningful.
In our work together, I aim to help you feel at ease so you can talk freely. I will invite you to express feelings, thoughts, memories, dreams, and we will work together to understand better what's on your mind. I work alongside you supporting you in gaining greater self-awareness, insight and challenging you where appropriate, enabling you to move forward.
Asking for help and making that first step to speak to or see a counsellor can feel difficult, but the benefits can be really significant, or even life changing. For help in dealing with any life difficulties or issues please contact me now.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for you to begin to get an idea whether I am the right therapist for you. This can take a few sessions. I will ask questions to help me get an understanding of what's brought you to seek counselling right now, please feel free to ask me any questions about how counselling works and how I can help you. We will also explore together what you'd like to gain from coming to therapy and related questions such as possible length and frequency of counselling.
