About me and my therapy practice
I believe much of the distress we experience is relational at the core and that hope and healing can begin to be found in a therapeutic relationship.
I find that understanding which leads to acceptance is the beginning of the process of change and growth.
Practice description
'It's the relationship that heals.' (Irvin Yalom)
'The relationship is the therapy.' (Michael Kahn)
'If human beings live, die and thrive in relationship, it is through the relationship that the greatest therapeutic change may take place.' (Mearns and Cooper)
'The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I change.' (Carl R. Rogers)
My first session
In our first session we will explore what has prompted you to seek counselling and what the focus of our work might be. This will allow us to determine how we both feel about the possibility of working together and consider whether what I provide is suitable for your needs.
You will also have the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns you have about the process.
There is no obligation to book any further sessions after this initial meeting.
Please indicate your preferred method for me to follow up your initial enquiry - email, text or phone call.
