About me and my therapy practice
How do I find the right counsellor for me? This may be a question you are asking yourself at the moment. Consider the qualities you would require in an individual that would give you the confidence and safety to share any current issues or difficulties in your life.
Such qualities may include, compassion, trust and authenticity. These are principles that are fundamental to my practice, they shape my work and underpin the relationship between myself and my clients.
I work using an integration of humanistic methods. A humanistic approach focuses on growth and development and encourages self-awareness whilst considering the influences of the past and present upon ongoing issues.
I integrate into my practice over 25 years experience of working with people in a variety of roles, roles which have required sensitivity, support and compassion, this was particularly pertinent when working with individuals impacted by rape and serious sexual assault.
