About me and my therapy practice

I am a person-centred counsellor based in NW10, offering online therapy in London. I work with adults for short and long-term counselling and therapy, and offer a warm, non-judgemental space in which to explore issues such as loss, anxiety, depression, feeling low, lost, or stuck.

I believe that being truly seen and heard, along with having the space and time to sort things through, can help you find your own answers and find your own way to cope with the harder times in life.

After a difficult year of uncertainty, fear, loneliness, loss, and exhaustion, maybe now is the time to get some support.  Whether you are here because of what you have experienced or are still experiencing due to all of this, or because old feelings have reopened I offer a calm space to talk.

If you would like some support dealing with or trying to process everything that has happened, and would like to find out about working with me please email me to check my availability.

All messages are treated confidentially, although all I need at the beginning are your name and contact details. I offer an introductory / initial assessment session at a lower rate.

Practice description

I’m passionate about how counselling can help people feel less isolated, and empower them to find their own answers. I work with adults of all ages, with a special focus on those who are feeling lost or whose needs have got overlooked in life.

I work with compassion, and an awareness of the importance of listening to what our bodies can tell us. I can help with grounding and finding a way to be with difficult feelings in a less overwhelming way.

I know from my own experience how transformative it can be to have someone truly see you, truly hear you. I work in a person-centred way because I believe in the uniqueness of every client I see, and that my understanding, non-judgemental acceptance, and compassion will create the time and space my clients need.

In addition to my private practice I have several years experience as a counsellor within a bereavement charity, and also as a counsellor with a women's charity working with women who have experienced domestic abuse.

I am currently offering online video counselling, but usually work face-to-face in light and airy rooms in NW London. At present all sessions are held online, but when it is safe to do so I will also be offering the option of in-person sessions.

My first session

In a first session we will talk together about what has brought you to seek counselling at this time. It is a chance for us to get to know each other a little, for me to see if my approach will suit your current needs, and for you to get a sense of what I am like before deciding whether you would like to continue to work together.

I will provide my privacy policy, and ask for details about your GP. During the session I will also ask some questions about your current mood, any other support you have, your health, and what you would like to get out of counselling. The session and all notes I take are confidential.

The session is held online, lasts an hour (longer than a 50-minute therapy session) and costs £40.
