About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My aim is to provide a safe, confidential and supportive space to help explore your way of being in the World, without judgement or disruption; understanding aspects of your life that cause distress, confusion, dissatisfaction or anger as such feelings can often lead to a sense of being anxious, stuck, unfulfilled and frustrated.
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I do not have a fixed or predetermined way of working, as I believe everyone is different. We will explore behaviours, beliefs, feelings or habits that are concerning you; taking account of your aims, wishes and circumstances. This may involve looking at past and present relationships, with an interest in how early childhood experiences maybe influencing present relationships with yourself and others.
I can provide focused, short-term Counselling, should you wish to work on something specific, or in-depth, long-term Psychotherapy should you prefer a more open approach. I work from a private room with free, secure, off street parking. I work with adults of all ages, cultural backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations, and offer sessional appointments during the daytime and evening.
I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, where you can ask further questions and get a feeling of what it might be like to work with me, and for me to gain an understanding as to what brings you to therapy at this stage of your life.
I have a BSc(Hons) Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy (First class)
