About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling and other therapies in Canterbury, and have worked in the NHS for 20 years.

I have practiced in GP surgeries offering psychological therapy for a wide-range of mental health problems; and have helped clients with related physical health problems. I have received very many valued testimonials valuing my input.

I originally trained at Goldsmiths College, University  of London, on their postgraduate counselling training; and at a London psychotherapy centre. I also have an MSc in Mental Health and have trained psychiatric nurses.

I have practiced in the NHS for around 20 years, as a mental health crisis team manager, as a liaison psychiatry clinical specialist, and as a psychological therapist in GP surgeries and clinics.

I have had subsequent NHS training in cognitive-behavioural therapy at the University of Sussex; and attended the Institute of Psychiatry for enhanced clinical skills.

I can now offer EMDR - a popular therapy for trauma and dissociation.

I can offer home therapy for those with trouble getting out. I have full insurance and DBS clearance and i am registered under the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
