About me and my therapy practice

I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling.  Making that first step to seek therapy can be really difficult, which takes courage.  My aim is to make this process as easy as possible for you by providing a confidential, non-judgemental, empathic and safe space for you to share with me what may be troubling you.  Our work will be collaborative and we will work at your pace. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Relational Counselling.  In other words, I draw on a number of different theories and tailor them to your needs.  I offer short term, long term and open ended therapy, depending on your needs.

Practice description

Alongside working from The Greenwood Centre in Hampton Hill, my main practice is in Sunbury on Thames.  I work very flexible hours and also offer online and telephone counselling.

My first session

A first session with me consists of gathering some practical information about you and explaining the process of therapy.  This is a good opportunity for you to get a sense of what it might be like for you to open up about what may be troubling you and if you feel we are a good fit for each-other.

About me and my therapy practice

Everyone experiences a wide range of feelings in life. You may have difficulties at home, work, college or university, with relationships, health and other life struggles. You may be at a point in life where you may need more than a friendly ear, but the thoughts of seeing a counsellor can be overwhelming. My aim is to provide a professional, but warm, confidential, non-judgemental, caring, safe environment where you and I can explore your worries together.

As a relational counsellor, I place a lot of emphasis on our relationship, with us getting to know each other and working collaboratively to improve your wellbeing.

Alongside my private practice, I volunteer at a local charity for the elderly and work as a volunteer counsellor at a counselling service in New Malden.

How I work

As a psychotherapeutic counsellor/therapist, I draw from a range of psychological approaches, depending on your needs.

I work with clients both short and long term.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Relational Counselling.

My work includes a private practice in Hampton Hill offering short and long term therapy for individuals (16 and over). As part of my training, I worked within the NHS counselling clients with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, abuse, trauma, shame, addiction, isolation and relationship problems. I currently work as a volunteer counsellor for a counselling service in New Malden and also volunteer for a local charity for the elderly.

My work is regularly supervised by an accredited supervisor.

I am committed to ongoing professional training as per the BACP guidelines and regularly attend workshops for continued professional development.
