About me and my therapy practice
What to expect - In our lifetime we all might encounter challenging periods and can find ourselves struggling to cope with these. These challenges may of course differ from person to person; e.g. for some they might be around emotional issues, for others particular life events that have had a significant impact on them. It’s maybe important to also acknowledge that living with such unresolved issues can have a true impact not just on our sense of self, but equally our relationships with others, our working lives and thereby arguably our lives overall.
If you’ve been feeling like life has been complicated or sometimes overwhelming, you’re certainly not alone.
Counselling can be a great and helpful way to help us through these challenging periods; often through engaging with the sessions people emerge with a deeper understanding of & connection to themselves as well as more resilient and centred.
Part of talking therapy might entail becoming (more) aware of or gaining a new perspective on defences we may have developed unconsciously to navigate earlier life situations/circumstances. I am trained to work with unconscious material, and am here to support you in exploring your inner self/life. Sometimes this might also mean we will look at the nature of our relationship, as it could provide an opportunity for self-inquiry and create an added insight to how you relate to others.
I offer a confidential, warm and collaborative space for you to begin your journey of self-discovery. By working closely together you will hopefully be left feeling seen, see yourself and it help you live your life as close to authenticity as possible.
My first sessionHalf price introductory session: 20£ (50mins) - It’s crucial that you find a therapist that is the right & comfortable fit for you. Being able to form a strong therapeutic relationship is key for effective therapeutic change. Therefore, to help you decide whether I’m the right choice for you; I invite you to make contact and find out a little more about how I work during a half priced introductory session. After this session you may need some time to reflect upon what you want to do next, that’s okay. If afterwards you feel that we might be the right fit, then we can arrange regular counselling sessions.
