About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes, our coping strategies, and the ways we relate to others, may become problematic. For instance, you may feel overwhelmed by grief, illness or painful events. Relationships may break down. You may feel anxious or depressed. Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers the opportunity to begin to make sense of what underlies your difficulties, come to terms with your losses and discover new perspectives.
I believe that an individual needs to arrive at their own understanding of their situation and of what troubles them. This deeper understanding then helps you find a way forward, and to start to feel better.
How can therapy help?
Psychodynamic psychotherapy aims at helping people gain a greater understanding of their current challenges and overcoming them.
We will explore together, in greater depth, the problems you are facing today in the context of your past patterns of relating and in personal relationships. We will begin to understand the reasons why you might be facing the current difficulties and explore different ways forward.
We will do this at your own pace and without judgement. You will have the freedom to speak about anything that is troubling you in our sessions or anything on your mind.

My first session
I provide a free, non-binding, initial telephone consultation where we can discuss your therapy needs and the type of therapy suited to you. This will give you an opportunity to decide if I might be the right therapist for you.
