About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I am a fully qualified and experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, providing a warm, confidential and professional  service for adults and young people.

Therapy can be challenging but can also be rewarding. Everybody goes through difficulties in life and my aim is for us to work together to explore and alleviate any issues which are causing you difficulty and preventing you from moving forward. I am committed to nurturing change and will endeavour to be as real and open as I can, whilst also bringing the knowledge and skills from my training and experience, to provide insight and alternative ways of approaching the issues you bring.

My work, training and personal experience has shown me that people grow through supportive and caring relationships and that the healing of deep wounds is possible.

My Training and Qualifications.

I hold a Bachelor of Science First Honours Degree (BSc Hons) in Person Centred Counselling.

In addition to my Counselling Degree I have had extensive training in Counselling Children and Young People, Child Protection and Multi-agency Safeguarding, Neuroscience and Attachment Theory, Autism, Trauma and Acquired Brain Injury.

My experience.

As well as private practice I work with children, young people and adults in an educative setting and I have a sound understanding of the pressures of this environment.

I am also employed to provide bilingual support in schools and for families and have extensive experience of the challenges that English as an additional language entail.

I attend regular supervision and have full cover professional liability insurance.

I have current Enhanced DBS Clearances.
